Ian Orr, a proud 12 year resident of Mason, Ohio is thrilled to announce that he is running for Mason City School Board. Ian is committed to the goals and vision of Mason City Schools and will use his platform to further assist and advocate for Mason students, teachers, and families. He shares his pride of Comet Country with his wife, Jessica, a resident of Mason for 19 years, and their 4 children--2 Comet graduates and 2 future Comet graduates. The Orr family understands that Mason City Schools is one of the best public school systems in Ohio and is fully committed to continuing that legacy as a School Board Member.

I will use my voice to share my ideas, questions, and ideas to further the goals of our school district. I will communicate with community members on school board issues so that everyone feels a shared sense of collaboration & ownership.

I will be championing for open conversations and dialogue between all stakeholders in our school district because complete transparency, good stewardship, and honesty are integral part of our collective success.
Ian is further dedicated to progressing our Superintendent, Jonathan Cooper’s vision and goals for the 3 Big Rocks: Culture, Inclusive Excellence and Personalized Learning.
Over the years, Ian has worked with the district in various capacities and is excited to continue this valuable work over the next four years as a board member! His knowledge & skills specializing in Risk Management & Mitigation, will be useful in working alongside School Board members to make thoughtful, reflective, and well-informed decisions. He is dedicated to the continued success for Mason City Schools.
He believes in holding himself and his colleagues to a high standard, while being transparent about the work of the school board, so the community, staff, and students have access to their school system. This campaign is student focused and community driven. If elected, Ian Orr will be a champion and an advocate for our amazing students, our diverse community, and our wonderful staff. He looks forward to being on the school board for the best school district in Ohio--Mason City Schools!
